Happy Halloween! Today was super weird, because we had a reverse P-day,
so we had a normal morning of studies and teaching and now we are in Showlow
with all of the missionaries that are serving in the mountains. It’s way fun
but pretty distracting so I am probably going to send really short emails this
week.
This week was kind of a blur because I wasn't in my area for two
days in a row. On Thursday I was in Eager with Sister Lawrence and we had a lot
of fun. It was the full Eager experience because we collected eggs for a
member. I also forced myself to pet a mule. Well “let us” is a strong word.
More like I poked a mule. But I am getting over my fear of big animals. And
while I was gone my companion's lovely companion for the day volunteered us to
pluck turkeys this Saturday for service. So it’s a good thing I made my peace
with mules before moving on to turkeys this weekend.
On Friday we had a big meeting in Payson and I got to see a bunch of
missionaries I served with in Phoenix and my previous companion took me a
package from some very sweet members from my last area. It made my heart happy.
We are super busy right now with investigators preparing for
baptism. Right now we have five who are super excited. It’s a little hectic,
but I love it and I love all of them!
Sorry this is super lame email but I love being a missionary and I
am excited for a new month of adventures.
Love you all!
Sister Doxey
